How much does self storage cost in the South East?

Storage pricing looks opaque from the outside, but it comes down to three things: how much space you take, where the store is, and how long you stay. Here's how the numbers actually stack up across our patch in 2026.

In the Home Counties and wider South East, expect roughly £14–£18 a week for a 10 sq ft locker, £22–£27 for a 25 sq ft unit (a small van's worth), £35–£40 for a 50 sq ft one-bed-flat room, and £53–£90 for the 100–200 sq ft rooms that take a full house move.

Inside London, add around 40%. A Kingston or Croydon locker starts nearer £21 a week, and a 100 sq ft room runs £75–£85. That premium tracks land values, not quality — the store itself is the same.
